Thoughts

Grandpa (By Peter William Lowther) I have very fond memories of my Grandfather, how he was always very kind and caring every time anyone went to visit him and Granny. It was also the small little things that made him special – the identical way he put his books back on the shelf, or how he always practised on note paper before he wrote in a card or in a book as a gift. He has always inspired me with my school work particularly my Latin, helping me to pass my level 1 exam and in cricket with his fascination in the game. But most importantly to me, cooking. The culinary expertise he had has made me have a love of cooking and eating good food of course! Thank you Grandpa for all of the advice and now you may rest while the rest of us continue on carrying the spirit of you.

Memories of my Grandpa - by Emily May Lowther A big hug and a happy smile Would always greet me if I hadn’t seen Grandpa for awhile At his desk, computer near Or reading one of the books that he held most dear The clocks would chime and Grandpa put his apron on Time to cook while listening to his favourite classical song Special, loving and caring too Don’t worry grandpa, I will look after Granny for you Love Emily May x
